An Educational Website on the Tang Dynasty’s Crown Prince Yide Mausoleum
This website collaborates with the experts and scholars of CGTN's "The Song Painted" project, aiming to guide users through an immersive exploration of the murals in the Tang Dynasty’s Crown Prince Yide Mausoleum. By dissecting the architectural structures depicted in the mural scenes, it offers users a deeper understanding of the architectural styles prevalent during the Tang Dynasty.
The homepage is a 3D immersive webpage built using the Spline and Webflow platforms. As the user scrolls with the mouse wheel, they delve deeper into the tomb passage. During this journey, we offer three adjustable perspectives: a central view, a left view, and a right view.
The text that emerges from the central perspective primarily describes the general characteristics of the murals in that particular section of the tomb passage, serving as an introduction and preamble.
The text and images that appear in the left and right views provide detailed analysis of specific mural scenes, including the content, painting techniques, and historical context. For example, they may explain the architectural style of Tang Dynasty palaces, the attire of palace maids, and the depictions of flora and fauna within the palace.
In terms of visual design, we adopted the style of ancient Chinese cursive script and incorporated it into the font design. Meanwhile, the logo design blends ancient Chinese seal script with modern geometric elements, creating a unique visual effect.
